Every March and September, Smith & Wollensky celebrates National Wine Week. Wine Week allows Smith & Wollensky guests to try 10 different wines for $10 with purchase of a lunch entrée. Wine selections are made by the wine steward to pair beautifully with the Smith & Wollensky lunch menu. The wines change daily by location and include both domestic and international varietals including sparkling, white and red wines.
“For more than two decades, we have partnered twice a year with some of the most exclusive winemakers in the world to pour their best varietals and vintages for our lunchtime guests,” said Michael Feighery, President of Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group. “I am delighted that we are continuing to elevate the event in 2011 with the introduction of several luxury wineries and boutique brands not previously seen on the Wine Week list. Guests will also have the unique opportunity to savor lunch offerings new to the Smith & Wollensky menu.”
The March 2011 event was a success with over 25,000 glasses poured from more than 200 different wines over the week-long event at the eight participating Smith & Wollensky locations.
